I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leuven. After completing my PhD, I worked several years for Metris, a spin-off company of the Department of Mechanics. Part of my job there was programming macros in VBA for AutoCad.
In 2001 I went on to work for Bosch, which is where I started to write Excel macros.
In 2006, I travelled for one year and after that I started as a freelancer.
Since 2001, I have programmed Excel macros for literally thousands of hours, for all kinds of industries, and for all sizes of companies, from very small ones to large multinationals like Pfizer, Wolters Kluwer, Donaldson Filtration Solutions and others.
In my free time, I volunteer for Engineers Without Borders, and until now, I have been three times in Africa (Cameroon) for a project to install solar panels and electricity in a school in the middle of the jungle in the south of Cameroon, and once in Cambodia (Phnom Penh) to install electricity in an orphanage. And I do technical support for some other projects.
I also work part-time on a commercial project to replace the polluting petrol motorbike taxis in Africa with electric motorbikes, that can be charged by the abundant sunshine in those countries.
And I love to help others to learn to write macros, so that they can earn six figures a year and achieve their dream life!
